## FAQ

### Are the filters delivered ready to install? 

Yes. They can be pre-assembled on a steel skid with piping, valves and a control panel to simplify installation and cut on-site costs.

### Fibreglass or carbon steel: which vessel do I need? 

Fibreglass (FRP) is lightweight and corrosion-resistant, for small and mid-size installations. Carbon steel suits large industrial projects, up to 144 in. in diameter, with automated backwash controls.

### How does a granular activated carbon filter work? 

By physical and chemical adsorption. Highly porous carbon traps contaminants as water flows through the filter bed.

### What does a GAC filter remove? 

Chlorine and chlorinated by-products, chloramines, PFAS, certain organic compounds, hydrogen sulphide, colour and certain hydrocarbons. For sulphides and chloramines, we can use Centaur® catalytic carbon.

### What flow rates can Magnor GAC filters handle? 

From 3 US gpm for small models to over 250 US gpm per tank. Units can run in parallel for higher total flows.
